Welcome to Tiburon
Surrounded on three sides by water, the Tiburon peninsula boasts some of the best views in the county -- to the south to San Francisco and Angel Island, to the west to the Golden Gate Bridge, and to the east to the East Bay. The great public schools, community atmosphere, and quaint downtown make Tiburon a coveted area of Marin. The downtown area has many fine restaurants and boutiques that are frequented by both the locals and tourists. With a population of about 9,122 people as of 2020, Tiburon has many luxury properties. With events like the Tiburon Wine Festival in the fall and a Holiday Festival in December, the town residents come together to have fun and enjoy the beautiful place in which they live.
Schools:
Tiburon is part of the Reed Union School District, which is comprised of three schools: Reed Elementary, Bel Aire Elementary, and Del Mar. Reed Elementary School is for children in grades K-2. It focuses on collaboration from a young age and an integration of technology with art into the curriculum. With a school separated from the older students, the younger students at Reed Elementary have the opportunity to develop and gain more confidence without potentially intimidating older children.
Bel Aire Elementary School serves grades 3-5 and is committed to fostering a safe learning environment as well as a love for learning. Bel Aire has made a community of thinkers, creators, and problem solvers through the influence of the great teachers and staff at the school. During this integral part of their education, children in grades 3-5 at Bel Aire are supported and encouraged to find their passions before going to middle school.
Del Mar Middle School serves grades 6-8 and provides their students with the support necessary to be successful in high school. Every student at Del Mar is given an individual laptop computer to use in the classroom, mixing technology with classic teaching styles.
St. Hilary School is a Catholic, co-educational, K-8 school located in Tiburon. The school combines Catholic values with traditional educational methods to create a love of learning within their students.
Tiburon students feed into Redwood High School in Larkspur, a California Distinguished School for grades 9-12.
