Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy is a K-8 public school in the Sausalito Marin City School District. The school strives to teach their students to be compassionate citizens of the world and to be global thinkers. With sports and arts programs, MLK Academy focuses on creating a college culture by connecting the past with the students’ hopes for the future. 

 

Students in Sausalito filter into Tamalpais High School in the Tamalpais Union School District. It is nationally recognized as one of the best public high schools in the state and offers many AP and Honors classes for students to take.

 

There are two private schools located in Sausalito as well. There is the New Village School, a K-12 school, and Sparrow Creek Montessori, a preschool for ages 3-6.
