Wildlife preserves like Corte Madera Ecological Reserve, Shorebird Marsh and the Ring Mountain Preserve are located just minutes from the wonderful shopping centers at the Village and the Town Center. The award-winning schools in the Larkspur-Corte Madera school district have many impressive programs to provide the students with nurturing learning environments. Students in the Corte Madera public schools feed into Redwood High School, an award-winning public high school with rigorous academics and high-performing sports teams. Corte Madera has become so popular among young families that recently the Cove School was built as another option for grades K-4.

Neil Cummins Elementary, the public elementary school for grades K-5, serves about 470 students for the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District. Neil Cummins offers enriching programs for their students in order to nurture a love of learning within the children. The school also incorporates art and technology throughout all of their classes in order to prepare students for the world outside of school.
The Cove School, opened in 2014, was established as another public school option to serve the number of young families in the Corte Madera community. This school serves about 368 students and focuses on experiential learning as well as collaboration between the students and teachers. The Cove School has active learners who question, think critically, explore as well as create.
Hall Middle School, the public middle school in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District, serves about 600 students in grades 6-8. Hall is a California Distinguished School and winner of the 2015 Blue Ribbon Award for academic excellence. The enriching arts, science, technology, and music programs offered by the school are essential in making it a coveted public school.
Corte Madera offers many wonderful private preschools and K-8 schools such as the Marin Montessori School, Marin Country Day School, the Mountain School, Twin Cities Community Pre-School, and the Golden Poppy PreSchool.
